On the 23rd and 24th of October, 2012 public hearings on “Main pipelines system Ukhta – Torzhok (1 line)” EIA in natural protected areas – NPAs -borders were successfully held. NPAs concerned included state natural zoological reserves “Totemsky” and “Tuphanovsky” in Volgograd region.
Project is realized by ZAO “Yamalgazinvest”, general design engineer - OAO “Giprospecgaz”, environmental documentation development and consulting – ZAO “NPF “DIEM”.
EIA materials for public review were placed in offices of administration of Totemsky and Gryazovetsky areas, were all public representatives could leave comments and suggestions. Information about EIA documentation availability and public hearings details were announced in mass media of local, regional and state levels.
Public consultations were held with the participation of specialist from ZAO “Yamalgazinvest”, OAO “Giprospecgaz”, ZAO “NPF “DIEM”, OOO “Center of environmental works” and regional administration representatives.

All consultations participants could speak up – address their comments and suggestions on proposed activity. Both public representatives and officials took part in discussion.
Public hearings participants
All comments and suggestions were presented in public hearings protocols, signed by investor and chief design engineer representatives and environmental consultants.
At the end of the hearings positive decision on project realization was issued.
